House Comparison Report
Among the more puzzling parts of astrology to the newcomer is the subject of house division. Intuitively we seem to recognize that planets on the horizon (or directly overhead) are more prominent than those at more “midway” positions in the sky. Classical astrology divides the visible sky at birth into six sections, or “houses”, and divides the sky under the earth similarly into six additional houses.
While there is no question how to compute the part of the sky that is directly overhead or on the horizon, there are a number of different approaches to dividing the sky for the more intermediate houses. The problem admits of several very logical solutions and that is why we have different house systems.
Our house comparison report shows the division of the sky using seven different house systems, and shows the placement of the planets by house in each system. This is a good way to see whether the choice of house system makes any difference to the interpretation of a particular chart.
