Composite Chart

The composite chart is used to analyze the relationship between two people. It is not a computation of actual positions of planets.  Rather, this technique synthesizes a chart from the two natal charts of the individuals involved.  Each planet in the composite chart represents the midpoint (along the smaller arc) of the two natal positions for that planet in the individual charts.

The midheaven of the composite chart is also found by computing a midpoint, but the rest of the houses are found by actual house computations consistent with the midheaven and the latitude of the current place of the relationship that is provided.  The travel (daily speed) of the planets are not computed, so all aspects are shown as applying. From this point on the computation and presentation of the composite chart is the same as a natal chart, with the same page of calculations and a separate wheel.
